Business Development Manager, System & Core Machine – Mississauga, ON

PSI Engineering manufactures and integrates automated pack and sortation systems for high volume warehouse and distribution centers who serve the business to consumer (B2C) market, drastically improving throughput and accuracy while reducing labor costs.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for prospecting new System and Core machine Sales, hunting for new opportunities with end user accounts.  BDM will work closely with the sales & marketing team developing campaigns targeting e-commerce retailers, third party logistics (3PL) and any high-volume distribution centers that require automation in the SLAM/Last 100 feet of their warehouse operations.  In addition, the BDR will target and develop System Integrator network who have opportunity to use PSI’s suite of Core machines in the solutions they provide their end customers.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Establishing contact and following up with key decision makers in targeted industries that include E-commerce retailers, Health Care & Nutraceutical distribution centers, and any other high volume distribution centers shipping to end customers.
  • Working with PSI marketing develop outreach campaigns to develop opportunities to these key customer markets
  • Using all available content found in the PSI sales toolbox present products & solutions to prospective clients who are looking to increase throughput and reduce manual Labor in the Packline/ last 100 feet of Distribution Centers.
  • Working with PSI applications team to develop Pack-line system solutions for new opportunities with end user clients.
  • Using the System Integrator partnership program present and quote standard PSI Core Machines for new opportunities
  • Tracking all sales activity in Salesforce CRM and aggressively move new opportunities through the sales funnel to close out.
  • Develop and update sales plan and forecast on a quarterly basis.
  • When required travel and actively participate in trade shows.
  • Participate in weekly sales huddle.
  • Ability to do overnight travel sometimes on short notice.
  • Tracking and reporting all efforts to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience in a sales or business development role related to Industrial Automation
  • Post Secondary degree or diploma in business or technical related curriculum.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of Automation.
  • Self-motivating and driven team player
  • Ability to work in a highly goal-driven environment
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with Customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills
